Dror Yaron + Working Poor
Recording of Live Show Performing Oh, Heather

The first time we talked, my wife Heather told me she found a sparrow in her room that day. I thought that was interesting because my name means sparrow in Hebrew. The other meaning of my name is Freedom. Which makes you measure your life against that concept constantly.

There was a combination for me to want to be a rock star for a night and my wife aligning the stars for me. It was very emotional and fun to make a custom love song for my wife Heather for her birthday. I composed it with the Working Poor in mind and they were awesome to do it with me. I came with the words and a basic melody and they made it come alive. The night of her 29th birthday, the Working Poor were to play a set at Gooski’s, the night opened with Oh, Heather.
Our friend Ido Roll recorded it on his phone, the crowd really got wound up to the line “Make this party last forever”.

The only perplexing part of it was - what do you top that for the next birthday?
